The Philippine National Police (PNP)-Bataan, led by provincial director Senior Supt. Audie Atienza, embarked on coastal protection by planting coral reefs along the coastal waters off this town in what they described as coral restoration project. A first time in the history of the PNP in the province, Atienza informed Gov. Abet S. Garcia that the planting of coral reefs along the coastal area of Barangay Paysawan will not only restore the dwindling reefs but also enrich the fish sanctuary in the area. Bagac has vast virgin coastal areas and is known for its crystal clear water and sandy beach, making the town as a favorite hangout and swimming areas for local and foreign tourists.
