Dr. John Albaladejo of the Fish Health Section of the BFAR said testing is expected to resume at the end of the month. P. vannamei is the shrimp species that are currently being tested by the BFAR due to the clamor of shrimp farmers and to broaden the country's aquaculture base for local consumption and export.en
