    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has expanded its rehabilitation program to provide post-harvest equipment to fisherfolk affected by typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan). "We are happy to know that many of our fisherfolk-beneficiaries have already resumed their fishing activities through AHON! Our task, however, is not yet over as our efforts will now cover post harvest equipment, particularly freezers, to help fisherfolk preserve their catch," BFAR Director Asis G. Perez was quoted as saying in a statement yesterday. Early this month, the BFAR reported that its AHON! Rehabilitation Initiative had breached its initial target of building 10,000 fishing boats for 20,000 families that had been affected by last November's super-typhoon.
