The price of “bangus” (milkfish) in Pangasinan province has slightly gone down, and producers are blaming strict quarantine protocols due to the coronavirus pandemic. Alex Soriano, vice president of Feedmix Specialists that operates bangus cages in Sual town, said some local governments had required delivery truck drivers and workers to undergo 14-day quarantine at their borders. “Some checkpoints also require our drivers and workers to present rapid test results taken at least three days before the delivery trip,” Soriano told the Inquirer.
