    Tuloy-tuloy ang pagsisikap upang malinis ang Manila Bay. Ibinahagi kamakailan ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regional office sa Pampanga na nagkabit ang ahensiya ng 50 trash traps sa ilang ilog sa Central Luzon upang mapigilan ang pagdaloy ng mga basura patungo sa tubig ng Manila Bay. Sa pagbabahagi ni Paquito Moreno Jr., executive director ng DENR sa Central Luzon, inilagay ang mga floating trash traps, na gawa sa mga recycled materials tulad ng plastic at fishing gear na may sukat na 30 hanggang 100 metro, sa mga ilog ng Lamao, Orani, Orion, Pinulot, Pangulisanin, Amo, Aguawan, Almacen, Bilolo, Talisay, Mabuco at Samal sa Bataan, at sa Guagua-Pasak river sa Pampanga.
