    Excerpt
The Department of Agriculture is set to create a Prawn Board that will reportedly help address falling price and weak demand of shrimps in Negros Occidental. Agriculture Secretary Luis Lorenzo Jr. said the board will include representatives from the shrimp industry, government, academe as well as from research institutions. Lorenzo added that the University of the Philippines and Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center may also be presented in the board, envisioned to serve as an avenue through which the prawn industry's gripes can be heard, and possibly be solved.
