    There's good and bad news for Aklan mangroves. The 57 hectare mangrove reforestation project in Barangay Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan was internationally recognized as among the well-managed forests in Asian Pacific in a search for exemplary forest management that was concluded this month. The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the Regional Community Forest Training Center for Asia Pacific (RCOFTC) picked Buswang mangrove plantation as among the 30 forests types that are better managed from a total of 170 nominations
