    Excerpt
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy A. Cimatu hailed President Duterte’s endorsement to Congress of a bill creating the Boracay Island Development Authority (BIDA). Cimatu, also the designated chairman of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF), said BIDA which will be headed by the DENR, will help sustain the gains from the rehabilitation of Boracay Island and that the endorsement of the bill would help ensure the timely and full passage of the measure. “We express our sincerest gratitude to the President for his endorsement of the BIDA bill,” Cimatu said in a news statement.
