The Department of Agriculture is asked to extend financial support to fishing boat operators who lost their livelihood due to the implementation of certain Fisheries Code provisions, particularly the ban on hulbot-hulbot. Fifth District Board Member Atty. Len Gatuslao said the DA, through the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources bans the use of Danish Seine. The operators have until the end of the month to change their fishing gear.
