The Oplan SWIM or "Sustainable Work plan for Iloilo River Management" aims to make the body of water clean on the short-term and swimmable on the long-term. According to Raul Lorilla of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, the work plan will serve as basis for improving the water quality of the river and its tributaries in terms of dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand and coliform concentrations.
