A female Bottlenose dolphin that was stranded on Saturday in the shallow water near the Wetland and Nature Park here was found to be weak and without buoyancy. “Mahina, hindi makalangoy. Tinitingnan namin kung maaaring ilipat sa magandang facility kung saan pwedeng i-rehab [It’s too weak to swim. We’ll see if we can transfer it to a better facility for rehabilitation],” said Ocean Adventure veterinarian Leo Suarez. Suarez said he has yet to check if the dolphin is pregnant. He already got blood samples for analysis in their laboratory at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
