Three Antiqueños have reacted to yesterday's People Powwow column, where author Herbert Vego lauded Mayor Francisco "Bebong" Baladjay Jr. of Lauan-an for initiating a drive aimed at solving the siltation problem plaguing the river through dredging. Np less that Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) secretary Roy Cimatu assured the mayor of his commitment to rehabilitate the river system in Antique which causes flooding due to siltation or erosion of soil into the river, thus blocking the efficient flow of water to the sea.
