V Vienna Wood, the Hong Kong-flagged bulk carrier that collided with Philippine fishing boat FV Liberty 5, may remain in the country for a longer detention with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) after initial assessment by divers reveal evidence the foreign ship may have been responsible for the collision that sank the boat and left 14 Filipino fishermen still missing. PCG Commandant Vice Admiral George Ursabia stated its divers found a significant damage on the bow of Vienna Wood, a gaping hole that shows the intensity of collision between the two vessels in the early hours of Sunday off Barangay Tayamaan, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro. Ursabia said the initial observation of the divers give significant development to the investigation as the PCG can already assess the nature of the collision.en
