The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center - Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) here is taking strides to restore the freshwater catfish, Claria macrocephalus. Dr. Josefa Tan-Fermin leads the said endeavor to revive the native catfish industry. Fermin noted that the catfish is fast becoming scarce.
