With the current price of dried seahorse running to as high as US$514 per kilo in Taiwan, this kind of fish is fast emerging as one of the best fish species for aquaculture. No less than Dr. Luis Ma. Garcia of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) stressed this during the Seminar on Business Opportunities in Aquaculture at Barcelo Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center here. Garcia described hippocampus kuda or seahorse as a bony fish.
