The Land Bank of the Philippines together with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec) recently established an agreement to boost aquaculture production in the country through training and transfer of newly developed technologies. The partnership aims to expand the implementation of the Joint Mission for Accelerated Nationwide Technology Transfer Program (JMANTTP) which was initiated by BFAR andSeafdec in 2000. Dubbed as the "Partnership for Promotion of JMANTTP Technologies," the program was designed to promote economically viable, environment-friendly and socially equitable aquaculture technologies to boost the production of fisherfolk nationwide.
