    Excerpt
To defuse the tensions brought about by protesting researchers, Dr. Rolando Platon, Chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD) made a bold move by ordering all division heads to tender their courtesy resignation by tomorrow. In a general assembly held at the administration lobby last Friday, Platon admitted that he was compelled to make drastic decisions to reorganize the Department to meet the challenges facing his administration from the protesting staff from the Research Division. Expected to tender their courtesy resignations are: Charissa Marte, Division Head of Research; Pastor Torres for Training; Wilfredo Yap of the Technology Verification and Commercialization; and Dan Baliao of the Administration and Finance Divisions.
