    'FishR' to hasten help to fisherfolks

    The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) eyes to register more or less 100,000 fisherfolks in Western Visayas under the National Program for Municipal Fisherfolk Registration (FishR). DA-BFAR launched FishR in the region Tuesday at the Royal Garden hall, Iloilo City. The launch was held in the presence of BFAR regional directors, governors and representatives of six provinces of Region 6 and stakeholders including fisherfolks, municipal agricultural officers, fisheries extension officers, municipal fisheries aquatic resource management chairpersons, among others.
