The provincial government here was hoping to speak with its counterpart in Negros Occidental to come up with a solution to illegal fishing. Illegal fishing is rampant in the part of Guimaras facing Negros Island Region, Gov. Samuel Gumarin said. He was referring to the back of the Panobolon Island in Nueva Valencia and the Inampulugan Island in Sibunag, facing Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, specifically at the boundaries of the two provinces.
