    Shellfishes collected in the coastal waters of the Gigantes group of islands in Carles town are positive for paralytic shellfish poisoning that is beyond the regulatory limit, announced the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). It thus imposed a shellfish ban in the coastal waters of the Gigantes islands. In shellfish Bulletin No. 1 released on Jan. 7, shellfish ban is also imposed in the following areas in Region 6: * coastal waters of Pilar and Sapian Bay in Capiz.
