    Excerpt
Unlike in several areas in the country, there is no red tide in Negros Occidental, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Laboratory test results showed fish caught in the province's waters are safe for human consumption, said (BFAR) Region 6 assistant director Carlito Delfin. BFAR issued Shellfish Bulletin No. 31 on Nov. 21 informing the public that shellfishes from the following areas are still positive for paralytic shellfish poison beyond the regulatory limit.
