The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has warned anew against the gathering, selling and eating of shellfish from Pilar and Sapian Bays in Capiz and Batan Bay in Aklan. BFAR regional director Remia Aparri said their recent monitoring showed that red tide cells known as Pyrodnium bahamense are still present in these bays.
