The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) issued a red tide alert for the coastal waters of Biliran province, bringing the number of areas covered by red tide warning to seven. These included Irong-Irong Bay in Western Samar, the coastal waters of Leyte, Carigara Bay in Leyte, Lianga Bay in Surigao del Sur, Honda Bay in Puerto Princesa City and the coastal waters of Milagros town in Masbate province.
