    The DENR and the Province of Guimaras released two marine turtles - green turtle (Chelonia mydas) and hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata) in Sitio Lusay, Brgy. Lawi, Jordan October 2, 2012. The release was facilitated by Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Protected Areas, Wildlife and Coastal Zone Management Sector (PAWSCZMS) Carlo C. Custodio and Guimaras Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Jesse L. Vego. The DENR Penro immediately responded to the information and conducted an investigation and inspection in the said barangay.
