    Excerpt
The Laguna Lake Rehabilitation Project will help avert a water supply crisis and the flooding of Metro Manila and nearby provinces because it is not only about dredging and cleaning up the lake, a group says. Pamana Lawa, a people's organization, says the project is aimed at protecting the residents living around the Lake from disaster, and that will happen because 30-meter-wide roads that are 12.5 meters above sea level will be built around the lake. The project will protect the residents of Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Quezon and Metro Manila, group spokesman Domeng Gonzaga says.
