Bernabe Garnace, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office chief, said they noticed the larvae or worms of the tide-watching mangrove moth (scientific name Aucha velans) in mangroves at the Iloilo River and Brgy. Hinactacan, Lapaz, Iloilo City. Garnace said they noticed the worm attacking the twigs and leaves of the mangroves, particularly the bungalon species, affecting the plant's photosynthesis or food-making process.en
