At least 15 fishermen found engaging in illegal fishing were arrested by joint elements of the local police and Bantay Dagat in Sorsogon and Camarines Norte over the week, reports said. The fishermen were caused using prohibited fishing nets and cyanide in their "compressor" fishing method in the coastal waters of Barangay Trece Martires in Casiguran, Sorsogon and in Barangay Pinagtigasan in Vinzons, Camarines Norte.
