    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has confirmed that the coastal waters of Honda Bay in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan is now contaminated by red tide. Honda Bay now joins Dumanquillas Bay in Zamboanga del Sur, Matarinao Bay in Eastern Samar, Murcielagos Bay in Zamboanga del Norte and Misamis Occidental, and Sorsogon Bay in Sorsogon where the shellfish ban remains in force because of red tide. BFAR said all types of shellfish and Acetes sp. or alamang gathered from these areas are not safe to eat.
