The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and state-owned Land Bank of the Philippines have partnered to come up with a livelihood program meant to help fisherfolk. The Agriculture department said in a statement yesterday that the partnership will promote mariculture or sea-based farming of fish and other aquatic organisms in all the 49 mariculture parks established by the BFAR nationwide.
