    Excerpt
Illegal fishing is rampant in Western Visayas, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. What should be done? The country already has a strengthened law against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Approved two years ago yet, it imposes penalties against violators for a more effective conservation and protection of the country's marine resources.
