The Department of Agriculture (DA) targets to distribute one million fishing boats nationwide in the next five years in support of the goal towards fish and marine product sufficiency. "We will provide two families a fiber glass boat to share, so that they will also share the responsibility of taking care of it," said Emmanuel Pinol, DA Secretary. Pinol said the move will also discourage the beneficiaries from selling the boat.
