    Excerpt
A Philippine Coast Guard ship spotted a Chinese Navy frigate at the disputed Scarborough Shoal, also known as Panatag Shoal and Bajo de Masinloc, off Zambales, the PCG reported yesterday. Coast Guard spokesman Capt. Almand Balilo said also spotted by the crew of BRP Malabrigo at the shoal, about 120 nautcal miles from Iba, Zambales, were two Chinese Coast Guard ships and two militia boats. Balilo said the Coast Guard vessel made the "rare" sighting of the Chinese waship, with hull number 504, during a routine patrol at the shoal from Thursday to Sunday. The ship returned to the PCG headquarters in Manila yesterday.
