    Excerpt
Five more Chinese warships were monitored to have passed the country's territorial waters in Sibutu Strait over the past weeks without informing local authorities. In a phone interview, AFP Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said two of the Chinese reconnaissance ships were sighted in July while three others were seen this month. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said the five warships refused to respond to "challenges from our naval monitoring stations and even shut down their automatic identification system.
