    Excerpt
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana yesterday admitted the country is practically incapable of defending its territorial seas against Chinese incursions because of lack of equipment. During a hearing of the appropriations committee on the proposed budget of the Department of National Defense for 2020, Rep. Michael Defensor (Anakalusugan party-list) asked Lorenzana if the country is prepared to respond to incursions. "Currently, we only have a very small capability to react to intrusions because our territorial sea is very vast and we only have a few equipment, " Lorezana told Defensor.
