To develop a regional policy on the sustainable contribution of fisheries to the food security in the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, the Souhteast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) joins the ASEAN in holding a millennium conference on Sustainable Fisheries for Food Security in the New Millennium. With the theme "Fish for the People," it is tentatively scheduled on October 2001 in Bangkok, Thailand.
