    SEAFDEC to regionalize improved fisheries code

    The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) Special Adviser Dr. Yasuhisa Kato introduced the Regionalization of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and rationale behind the effort of SEAFDEC during their recently held Core Aquaculture Experts Consultation participated by ASEAN country members. Kato mentioned that the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations has unfolded the Code of Conduct in 1992 but many developing countries could not send their representatives. Only those who are presently drafted the articles and sections in the code.
