A Southeast Asian center based in Tigbauan town has embarked on an aquaculture textbook writing program. The government-hosted Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) ventured into the program on the request of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF) headed by Dr. Elpidio Locsin Jr., president. Barotac Nuevo-based ISCOF requested SEAFDEC AQD headed by Dr. Rolando Platon, chief, in view of the agency's reputation of having the most number of experts in various fields of aquaculture.
