    Participants from 11 Southeast Asian countries gathered for a consultative meeting here in Iloilo the other day as part of their preparation for the forthcoming ASEAN-SEAFDEC Millenium Conference on November this year in Bangkok, Thailand. These participants were from Brunie Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each of these Southeast Asian countries had a representative to discuss the status, problems, issues and national policies concerning the aquaculture sub-themes in their country.
