A government center in Lala, Lanao del Norte had been chosen as demonstration site for environment-friendly shrimp culture technologies. This is stipulated in a memorandum of agreement signed between the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR/0 and the government-hosted, Tigbauan, Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD).
