A government hosted Southeast Asian center based here will celebrate its 27th anniversary on July 6-7 confident that it can continue strongly supporting the aquaculture research and development (R&D) programs of the region. The Philippines has been among the primary beneficiaries of the technologies generated by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFEC AQD). Over the past few years, SEAFDEC AQD has intensified its technology verification and transfer program, resulting in the rapid adoption of technologies it has developed by fisherfolk.
