The raging controversy at Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (Seafdec/AQD) here took a rather different twist, with the residents of Buyuan village, located right beside the department's headquarters. now being pitted against the management. This came as the scientists and other research staff continue to call for the ouster of Seafdec/AQD chief Dr. Rolando Platon. The residents, led by village Mor Miranda and councilman Manny Mamon yesterday held a protest action in front of the Seafdec/AQD administration building to dramatize their dismay at what they call the "arrogant behavior" of Administrative and Finance Division head Dan Baliao.
