Anthony Magalong, a technician at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources' National Integrated Fisheries Technology and Development Center in Dagupan City, holds a rare 2.5-kilogram Cantor's giant softshell turtle, which a farmer turned over the other day. The turtle, found in a rice field in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, is an endangered species.
