Farmers and fisherfolk in the municipality of Miag-ao were given due recognition during the 1st Farmers and Fisherfolk Week to raise public awareness on their role in the local economy. Nineteen active farmers and fisherfolk groups participated in the three-day event from May 22 to 24. They were recognized as partners in the local program for food security and helping eradicate poverty in rural areas.
