The headlines and news generated lately from the Department of Agriculture (DA) were mostly related to rice. But with the coming holidays it will not only be rice that will be consumed in greater quantities during the usual social and family gatherings. Food products like fresh and processed meats and fish, fresh and canned fruits, among others, are usually consumed in greater quantities during the holidays. Even fresh pangasius form out regional neighbor Vietnam could be found in supermarket shelves.
