    Excerpt
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana yesterday sought an apology from the captain of the Chinese fishing vessel that rammed and sank a Filipino fishing boat at Recto Bank in the Philippine Sea earlier this month and abandoned the Filipino fishermen. "I think that would be an appropriate demand to the ship captain to apologize for abandonment) and make restitution for the damage," Lorenzana said at the Manila Bay Kapihan forum in Manila. Lorenzana said n apology would be needed more so if it is established the June 9 ramming of the Filipino boat was intentional, although he said authorities have received information that is was accidental.
