Fisherfolk-beneficiaries in the province of Antique have been advised to coordinate with the provincial office of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) or at the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) to receive their fiberglass boats. OPA senior aquaculturist Alletth Gayatin said Friday that only 200 of the 900 fiberglass boats for identified marginalized fisherfolk in Antique had been delivered to their recipients. “If the fisherfolk beneficiaries could take (the) initiative to get their boats at the provincial government property in Barangay Badiang, San Jose de Buenavista, the better,” Gayatin said.
