    Sea turtle found in Boracay dies with spear wounds

    A female green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) was found with a spear pierced through its left flipper in this world-famous island last week and eventually died from the wounds. The turtle was rescued last week near Sitio Tambisaan snorkeling area at Barangay Mano-Manoc in Malay, Aklan before noon. Marine biologist Haron Deo Vargas in Malay, Aklan detailed the incident in his Facebook post.
