Based on the latest laboratory results of the bureau of fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and Local Government Units (LGUs), shellfish collected at Dumanquillas bay in Zamboanga del Sur; Murcielagos Bay in Zamboanga del Norte and Misamis Occidental; Matarinao Bay in eastern Samar; Cambatutay Bay, Irong2 Bay and coastal waters in Calabayog city in western Samar; Honda bay in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; and Balite Bay, Mati Davao Oriental are still positive for paralytic shellfish poisons that is beyond the regulatory limit. moreover, coastal waters Milagros in Masbate Bay is now positive for red tide toxin.
