Boracay's D'Mall, water utility face closure: official
Excerpt
The D'Mall commercial center and Ayala Corp's water unit in Boracay face closure, as the government prepares to solve the island's pollution problem, an official who is helping plan the cleanup said Wednesday. D'Mall, which houses shops and restaurants, was built on wetlands, a violation of environmental laws, Interior and Local Government Asec Epimaco Densing said. Its operator has denied the charge.
