Based on the laboratory results of the Bureau of fisheries and aquatic resources (BFAR) and local government units (LGUs), shellfish collected at Balite Bay in Mati ,Davao Oriental; coastal waters of Dauis in Bohol; coastal waters of Daram island in Daram, Villareal, Maqueda, Irong -irong and Camabatutay bays in western Samar; coastal water of Leyte and Cagiraga bay in Leyte; coastal water of pilar, president Roxas and Sapian bay in Capiz; coastal waters of Atavas; Batan and Washington in Batan bay,Aklan'; coastal waters of Gigante island Charles,Iloilo; and coastal water of naval, Biran island province are still positive for paralytic shellfish poison that is beyond the regulatory limit.
all types of shelfish and acetes sp. or alamang gathered from the area shown above are not safe from human consumption.
